Ingrid Bauer

Ingrid Bauer has been teaching and writing about compassionate parenting since 1997. When she discovered NVC in 2000, she was thrilled to find a practice that supported her in her desire to live compassion and grow world peace from the roots by addressing how we raise and interact with children, and how we practice peace in creating communities that nourish and care for each individual. For this reason and as a mother of four children aged newborn, 6, 10 and 21 years, she is dedicated to sharing NVC with parents and families, and much of her work addresses this arena.

Ingrid is a certified NVC trainer and a graduate of the BayNVC Leadership Program. She has been assisting Inbal Kashtan with the BayNVC Parent Peer Leadership Program, part of the joint CNVC and BayNVC Peaceful Families, Peaceful World Project, and will be leading this program starting August 2007. She offers workshops for schools, child-care educators, parent groups and home-schooling groups, as well as individuals and organizations. She has co-led a Living Peace Intensive NVC retreat with Miki Kashtan, and also offers private counseling and parent coaching. Ingrid lives with her family on Saltspring Island on Canada’s west coast.
