Join us for a passionate exploration of how NVC can support personal and social transformation in the area of power relations and social divisions.

  • Explore an NVC perspective on power and the dynamics of race, class, gender, and other social divisions;
  • Connect with yourself as you understand your own life experience in relation to power, resources and choice;
  • Practice connecting with people with different access to power and resources than your own;
  • Develop capacity for showing up fully for dialogues across social divisions

Sessions 1 and 2l introduce an NVC perspective on power, resources, and choice. This is the conceptual foundation for our work across challenging social divisions. These sessions combine teaching, discussion, and experiential exercises so the work throughout is relevant to each person's own life.

In Sessions 3 and 4, we set up supported dialogues across a societal division, where both people get to express their judgments/beliefs/concerns/stories and have them translated, empathized with, and heard by the other person (e.g. a person who has judgments about people who are poor dialogues with someone who is poor).
