Are there one or more youths in your life with whom you would enjoy:

  • Having the conversations you may be most terrified of having?
  • Sharing scary honesty: Hearing theirs and expressing yours?
  • Cultivating a relationship that embodies trust, appreciation, and mutuality?
  • Learning how to re-center and remain connected to needs “no matter what is thrown your way”?
  • Developing a capacity to “be with what is”, even if that includes having pain from your own teen years stimulated?
  • Creating boundaries in a “power-with” way that invites compassionate communication & wise action?
  • Deepening NVC skills and integrating it in a way that responding empathically becomes the first response?
  • Releasing enemy-images that “fog up” seeing the beauty that lay within yourself and the youth you care about?
  • Laughing more with the intensity of life?

cat and teensIf you answered yes to any of the above this class may be for you. If you're willing to “walk in the dark” and “live on the edge of honesty” then this class is definitely for you. Through story, role-play, journaling, and discussion we will learn how to enrich and enliven the relationships we have with the people we call teens.

“I learned that I can be myself and still be treated as a human.”
                    - Shady, 14 - Play in the Wild! Alaska, USA

“ I just wanted to say another huge thank you to you for the gifts you have given to my son. I can sense a big shift in both him and my relationship with him already. I just feel like I want to soak up whatever it is he now has.  I feel so blessed that you have come here and supported my child in his process of becoming a whole human being.”
                    - Kath Giblett, Mom of son who attended Play in the Wild! Fremantle, Australia

“Truly Catherine, it is the most joyful experience as a mother to see your child integrating such an approach to life [NVC}....we certainly will have many occasions to remind ourselves of the NVC path... Thank you for the beautiful life-transforming work you are doing......and please come back soon for another workshop - we will be there.
                    - Veronica Kaczmarowski (mother of Nicholas Vachon) - Parent/Teen Training  Quebec, Canada

cat and chrisCNVC Certified Trainer Catherine Cadden’s passion for helping people connect with youth is fueled by the belief that when we transform the societal constructed “roles” of parent, adult, teacher, and youth we “truly see” the beauty within each other rather than the “enemy-image” created by us or society, then we can build trusting, respectful, productive relationships, thus creating the peaceful world we want.
