About MairMair Alight has shared NVC with organizations and in public trainings, with mental health patients, prisoners and preschoolers. She enjoys sharing stories, songs and images to inspire and connect, using the diversity of her life experiences to invite understanding and offer relevance. Mair has driven a tractor, taxicab and bus, worked as a field hand, horse trainer & riding stable guide, raised two children, founded and operated a consignment clothing & gift store, been a minister and a witness in a murder trial, done energy healing, been on the founding board of a number of non-profits, worked for the government; a diversity of experience and the resultant depth of understanding for others! She has co-authored a children’s NVC coloring book, “Compassionate Underwear” (for sale at www.CNVC.com) as well as the DVD “Living NVC”.

Structure of the Course: This is not a class in which you will be asked to passively listen to the instructor while you do your dishes or sort your mail. This is a class in which you will be asked not to multi-task, but to bring your full attention to connecting with the others on the call. The class is designed to give you an opportunity to listen, discuss and practice with others slowing down, taking your time and speaking from your heart, joined by a community of supporting and supportive individuals. Course Objectives: Deepening comprehension and application of the basics of NVC, and practicing what you learn, each week building on the previous week. The series is designed to meet needs for
How you are learning (and with who) will affect your level of fun and ease with using the model, asking and receiving the support you are wanting. This class will increase your competence and confidence. We will take time for all participants to ask questions and to interact with others.
