Sylvia Haskvitz recently chatted with CNVC Certified Trainer Catherine Cadden about her life and NVC work.

About Catherine Cadden
CATHERINE CADDEN is a certified trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication bringing over ten years of experience practicing, living and teaching Nonviolent Communication (NVC) internationally to participants of all ages. She honors her teachers Jack Kornfield, Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Ram Dass, and Marshall Rosenberg as well as Stephen and Ondrea Levine for supporting, inspiring and influencing her spiritual path with a daily mind and heart practice in being nonviolence. In 1997, she founded the TEMBA School, a visionary K - 8 academic program rooted in nonviolent philosophy, NVC, sustainable living, and artistic expression.

SYLVIA HASKVITZ, MA, RD, and author of
Eat by Choice, Not by Habit, is a registered
dietitian since 1983 and certified trainer
with the Center for Nonviolent Communication
since 1989. Sylvia has presented Compassionate
Communication seminars to businesses
and organizations including Head Start,
Silicon Graphics and St. Mary's Hospital.
She has presented Nonviolent Communication
skills at several conferences including
the the National Association of Mediators
in Education and Peacemaking: The Power
of Nonviolence with the Dalai Lama. Sylvia's
essay, "Enemy Images" was recently published
in the book, Healing Our Planet, Healing
Ourselves.
