Jeff KinyonAbout John Kinyon

John Kinyon is a trainer of the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC), a leading member of its global network and organization, and a co-founder of the BayNVC organization . John facilitates communication training and conflict resolution with individuals, groups, and organizations in settings ranging from workshops, presentations, and practice groups to coaching in personal and professional contexts. John has a background in clinical psychology, and also has a long study of spiritual practice and principles of nonviolence. John has worked closely with NVC founder Marshall Rosenberg since 1998 and is regularly invited by Dr. Rosenberg to be a co-trainer with him at 9-day international intensive retreats. John is regularly invited to give presentations and workshops in different parts of the U.S. and internationally. In 2002, he provided Nonviolent Communication training to Afghan tribal elders along the Pakistani border.

John received his B.A. from the University of San Francisco, where he majored in studies of psychology and philosophy and played for their nationally ranked soccer team. He went on to receive an M.S. degree in clinical psychology from Penn State University, spending 5 years of doctoral training working as a psychotherapist with individuals and groups and as a research assistant at the Penn State Stress and Anxiety Disorders Institute. He then started and developed a small business in the gourmet food industry before becoming a full time communication trainer. John lives with his beautiful wife and 2 children at their home in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Ike LasaterAbout Ike Lasater

Ike Lasater teaches and coaches communication and conflict resolution skills to individuals and organizations. His experience includes over 100 days of NVC training, serving on several boards of directors, including that of the Center for Nonviolent Communication, founding and co-managing complex litigation law firm, co-founding the Yoga Journal, and long term practice of yoga, Zen meditation and aikido.
