You've learned NVC… you work in an educational system, now what?

Schools are a microcosm of society and provide an excellent laboratory for integrating NVC transformational skills and consciousness into a wide variety of contexts.

Conflict and differences of opinion can disconnect parents, teachers and administration in their efforts to do what would best serve the well being of the child. In this six-session course you will develop ways of hearing and expressing that build collaboration and trust even when faced with colleagues that complain, compare and judge one another.

During this course, we will look into methods for integrating NVC into your classroom practices as well as the school community so you can:

About Jared Finkelstein

Jared Finkelstein works as a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication and is fueled by his belief that quality of connection is what's essential in a connected world.

The significance of a connection that welcomes authenticity, honesty, and empathy was evident in his schooling at a small, K–12 private school that prioritized child-centered learning and community values. Jared's parents were teachers and administrators there so his family, community, and school were all threaded together in his formative educational experience. More

 

About Lore Baur

Lore Baur is a Certified Trainer for the International Center for Nonviolent Communication and a team member of the NVC Academy. She holds a master's degree in science education from the University of Iowa and has taught public school since 1993. Lore spends her days learning and playing with middle school students and is part of the implementation team for Restorative Processes in her school. She offers and organizes NVC trainings in her local area to teachers, parents, teens and faith and service organizations. More
