John Kinyon

Session: Bringing Compassion to Past Parenting Choices

Much of parenting is about mediating our inner conflicts. John shows how to create empathy and learning within ourselves when we react to our children in ways we later experience with self-blame and judgment. John’s training blends the model of mediation, distinctions in language derived from Nonviolent Communication, and promising new ideas in brain science, habit change research and mind-body training.

About John Kinyon

John Kinyon and his training partner, Ike Lasater, have spent the past decade developing their unique method for helping people learn how to “mediate their lives” -- transforming conflict into connection in all aspects of their lives: internal, interpersonal and between others. Their year-long Mediate Your Life immersion program is now offered in locations around the globe. John has been a trainer of the international Center for Nonviolent Communication since 2000 and has worked closely with its founder, Marshall Rosenberg PhD.
