Dian Killian, PhD

Dian Killian, PhD, is a Certified Trainer with the international Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) , founder and director of the Center for Collaborative Communication (formerly known as Brooklyn Nonviolent Communication) and co-author of two books, Connecting Across Differences: A Guide to Compassionate, Nonviolent Communication and Urban Empathy: True Life Adventures of Compassion on the Streets of NY.

Also an executive coach, Dian is certified with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and teaches Collaborative Communication as a visiting faculty member in the Coaching for Transformation program.

Dian has designed and led workshops in the United States, Europe and Asia for diverse organizations including large Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), multinational and Fortune 100 companies, including New York University, the United Nations Development Program, Merck & Co., Inc., Planetree, HCL Technologies (India) and Connect NY. Dian regularly teaches at the New York Open Center, Kripalu, the 92nd St Y, LifeLabs and the Omega Institute and has co-led with Marshall Rosenberg, the creator of the NVC model at an International Intensive Training (IIT) . She is widely known as a highly engaging, innovative and dynamic facilitator, bringing humor, warmth and insight to her coaching, training and design.
