NVC and Self-Compassion

For the month of December commit to a practice of offering compassion, empathy, and acceptance to yourself. Extend the same kindness and care that you might offer a friend to yourself. Even a single moment of self-care can impact your well-being. So imagine the potential impact of regularly practicing self-compassion, self-empathy, and acceptance.

The work of self-compassion is not about getting better. This implies judgment about the experience. Instead of immediately acting to make a change, listen as Robert suggests practicing unconditional self-acceptance through spacious presence to our inner experience. 

Mary offers two self-empathy exercises: I Love It When, and What Do I Want / Why Do I Want It. These exercises will help you deepen your ability to connect with self.
