Aurélia Saint-Just, Meneka Neotia & Miki Kashtan

Aurélia Saint-Just discovered NVC in 2015. Within the Nonviolent Global Liberation community, she is holding with Miki the group exploring Power & Privilege (P&P) through the lens of liberation using the Vision Mobilization framework. Her own liberation edge is to speak and act from a place of togetherness and to come back to a place of choice as she supports people to do this individually and collectively. She is part of a self-organized P&P NVC group in France and co-facilitates trainings around Systemic Dynamics and anti-oppression offered to groups engaged in activism and social change at the Eulex project in Catalonia, Spain.

Menaka Neotia’s purpose is to quit the market as much as possible and pull with her those she can to become one global interdependent pod. For this she is apprenticing within the Nonviolent Global Liberation community (NGL), experimenting with gift economy, and practicing and sharing Convergent Facilitation (CF), Vision Mobilization(VM), The Compass Roadmap and NVC with a systemic lens as tools for individual and collective liberation. Menaka facilitates Restorative Circles, integrative decision making with Convergent Facilitation principles and process, and has embraced needs choreography in engaging with people. She also offers support with navigating Power, Access, and Privilege in some of NGL’s offerings, so people can explore how to hold the dignity of both people with less/no access and those who have some/more access.

Miki Kashtan is a practical visionary rooted in feminist nonviolence, working with others to realign humanity with life. Her main project is the  Nonviolent Global Liberation (NGL) community which she founded in 2017. Miki began working with others work on approaching topics of power and privilege from an NVC lens in 2001 and has written dozens of blog posts and articles on the topic. She held regular free calls on the topic of "Facing Privilege" for seven years. Her latest book, The Highest Common Denominator: Using Convergent Facilitation to Reach Breakthrough Collaborative Decisions (2021) explores the practices and systems needed for a collaborative society and includes an entire chapter about attending to power differences. She is also the author of Reweaving Our Human Fabric: Working together to Create a Nonviolent FutureSpinning Threads of Radical Aliveness: Transcending the Legacy of Separation in Our Individual Lives, and The Little Book of Courageous Living. Miki blogs at The Fearless Heart and her articles have appeared in the New York Times ("Want Teamwork? Encourage Free Speech"), Tikkun, Waging Nonviolence, Shareable, Peace and Conflict, and elsewhere. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from UC Berkeley.
