
Kateryna Yasko & Auke Van Nimwegen
Kateryna Yasko (from Kyiv, Ukraine, but currently living with her family in Lithuania) is an organizational psychologist, certified NVC trainer and conflict mediator from Kyiv, Ukraine. Her academic background is in the area of international relations and law (MSc), psychology (MSc), and business administration (MBA). She is a founder of a public association “International Institute for Integral Development” (IIID), educational platform Empatia.pro and consulting company U-Integral, focusing on leadership development and bringing holistic approaches to business organizations and educational institutions. For the past 10 years Kateryna has been an active explorer of adult development and Scandinavian bildung practices and a member of the Nordic Bildung Future Academy.
She is certified in Spiral Dynamics with Don Beck, in Leadership Maturity Framework with Susanne Cook-Greuter, and integrates adult development with NVC. Since 2016 Kateryna was a member of the civic council at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, implementing educational projects for school principals, teachers, psychologists, parents and teenagers. She organized translation and edition of several NVC-related books in Ukrainian, her team hosted and carried out trainings with CNVC trainers from all over Europe in various regions of Ukraine.
Because of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in March 2022 Kateryna and part of her family moved to Vilnius. Even since she’s been actively involved in volunteering to support community of Ukrainian refugees in Lithuania, and in working with international groups to foster conscious meaning-making around the war in Ukraine and relevant response for the sake of long-term peace in Europe and the world.
Auke Van Nimwegen grew up in the Netherlands, in a progressive environment that was very politically aware. At an early age he was involved in aid organization and anti-discrimination groups. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and his first steps in entrepreneurship in The Netherlands, he traveled all over the world and worked for several years as an ICT specialist and consultant in various places, including the US, Poland, Australia and Southeast Asia. He worked for a number of companies including Microsoft Asian Pacific region before settling back home and starting his own IT company Centior that grew to about 50 people.
In 2003 he sold his IT company and started working as an independent organizational development consultant, leadership trainer and team coach. He became interested in personal and human development and further educated himself in topics such as group therapy, bio energetics, personal coaching, Non-Violent Communication and Spiral Dynamics. In 2003 and 2005 he spent time with Marshall Rosenberg in his retreats in Switzerland, which has been an important inspiration for him in his work with people and dealing with conflict in organizations.
Spiral Dynamics has been the model that has helped him frame his work in organizations as well as his interest in society, geo-politics and humanity. Auke worked closely with Dr. Don Beck from 2005 until his passing in 2022 and has been an authorized Spiral Dynamics trainer since 2007. Auke has introduced thousands of people to the model and trained various other trainers. In 2011 he co-founded ValueMatch, which provides training and assessment services based on Spiral Dynamics. Since the Russian invasion into Ukraine Auke has been involved in aiding Ukrainian refugees in the Netherlands and has used his knowledge of European politics and Spiral Dynamics to help create clarity about how important a proper response to this situation is for European and world peace.
