NVC and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) are both life-giving practices, deeply rooted as they are in our natural abilities for attention, care, empathy and compassion. Both also invite us to get in touch and become more and more aware of our habituated patterns, the thoughts and judgments, the automatic reactions, the places and times where we shut down, instead of exploring the possibility of opening to what is alive in the present moment. There is a common ground and there are common seeds and fertilizers: beginner's mind, non-judgment, patience, curiosity, acceptance, empathy, compassion, non-attachment.
In this workshop we explore the relation we cultivate with ourselves and others around us, using both NVC and MBSR, with their similarities and specificities. We will bring deeper focus on intention, acceptance and non-judgment, self-empathy and empathy, compassion and self-compassion, gratitude.
- Deepening the connection with body and mind, as well as with feelings and needs;
- Finding connection with all emotions and thoughts through awareness practices;
- Allowing unpleasant sensations, emotions and thoughts, and creating self-understanding through them;
- Taking compassionate care of our habitual judging minds;
- Learning to observe non-judgmentally and with openness and curiosity;
- Learning to express what is alive in the body and mind in a compassionate and authentic way;
- Finding more openness and presence in "difficult" communications;
- Weekly home explorations to integrate both practices (NVC & MBSR) more deeply in your daily life.
