Melanie Sears has been a CNVC Certified Trainer since 1991. She offers Nonviolent Communication (NVC) training in businesses, hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, as well as to individuals, couples and parents.

Melanie has also worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for more than 25 years. She has worked in all areas of the hospital, home care and hospice and has been an administrator and a consultant.

Melanie presents NVC at conventions, universities and churches. She helps health care facilities transform their systems into compassionate, efficient client- and staff-centered organizations. She has been interviewed on the radio and is the author of the books, Humanizing Health Care and Choose Your Words: Harnessing the Power of Compassionate Communication to Heal and Connect. Her presentations have been described as exciting, inspiring, educational and transformative. She has two grown children.
