So many conversations get stuck when there are differences in opinions. Most people tend to try to convince the other person or withdraw from the conversation entirely. In this clip, Yoram discusses how you can go behind the opinions in order to see the needs of the human being.

What do you do when both people engaging in dialogue are in pain at the same time? Since we cannot listen when we are in pain, we need tools to navigate these moments. Listen to Yoram share two strategies for accessing self-connection and empathy when both people are hurting.

Yoram shares about the importance of honesty (what is actually going on in you) and the dilemma of honesty (should I say it or should I not). Watch Yoram demonstrate the difference between expressing our honest judgments (I will be really honest with you, you are...) and expressing radical authenticity (describing our own authenticity). Peeling back the layers of authenticity leads to a message of care for self or for another.

How do you solve a conflict? By not trying to solve it! Yoram suggests building your conflict resolution muscles by practicing connecting to the needs behind the conflict instead.

  • Discern what is preventing your communication style from being effective
  • Create a communication style that works
  • Resolve everyday conflicts and misunderstandings
  • Create a deeper sense of connection, trust, and cooperation
  • Heal old wounds between you and others, as well as within yourself
  • Be the leader and contributor you want to be in any situation

Yoram defines empathy as a blending of the arts of listening and following, and says it is the biggest gift we can offer each other! Listen what can happen when a restless child has the presence and attention of his mother.

Watch and listen as CNVC Certified Trainer Yoram Mosenzon from the Netherlands deftly demonstrates the beautiful solutions that arise when you bring NVC's radical honesty to your relationships during this delightful video.
